VIBRISSE

Viste le numerose richieste, pervenutemi dai miei appassionati lettori (siete appassionati vero??) dedicherò un Post alle delucidazioni riguardanti il concetto di vibrisse. A parte coloro che hanno letto o ascoltato da bambini la magica cassetta del cantastorie dedicata a “Gobbolino il Gatto di Casa” (sì il famoso… a mille ce n’è, nel mio mondo di fiabe da narrar… – anche se a voi non so quante ne abbiano comprate i vostri genitori, a me ca. tre), i quali sanno benissimo che dalle vibrisse di Sutica, sorellastra intelligente di Gobollino, fuoriuscivano scintille, per tutti gli altri rivelerò che quando si parla di Vibrisse riferiscecisi generalmente ai BAFFI DEI GATTI, tanto vale per i baffi collocati ai lati della boccuccia quanto a quelli collocati sopra agli occhi. Ora i baffi dei gatti, o vibrisse, che negli uomini e specie nelle donne non sono particolarmente apprezzati esteticamente, e amati soprattutto dagli adolescenti orgogliosi di ostentare i primi peli sulla faccia, nei gatti, pur essendo estremamente romantici e intriganti, sono essenzialmente degli organi sensoriali. Grazie alle vibrisse il gatto non cade e non sembra avere la labirintite, in pratica sono organi di equilibrio. Inoltre grazie alle vibrisse il gatto percepisce cose e vibrazioni nell’aria che solo Ralph supereroe potrebbe notare. Tagliare le vibrisse a un gatto è un atto subdolo e vigliacco.

Ps. notare il particolare sviluppo delle vibrisse di Angulo, e sì che lui ne ha di bisogno di mantenere l’equilibrio mentre dorme!!!

Feelers

I will devote now a post to some clarification about the concept of “feelers”, due to the many claims of my passionate readers. Aside people who red and listened when child the magic tapes of the Story-teller about “Gobbolino, the house cat” (yes the famous, at least in Italy, “thousands there are, of stories to tell..”, even if in my special case my parents bought me just a few), cause this people already knows quite well that from Sutica’s feelers, the Gobbolino’s intelligent twin-sister, spouted sparks, for all others I will disclose that when we speak about Feelers, we speak about the cat’s moustaches. It ’s the same for the moustaches around the mouzzle and for the top-face moustaches. Now these moustaches which on men, and especially weman, are not so appreciated, on cats are a very important sense organ, apart from being very romantic and nosey. It is thank to its feelers that the cat doesn’t fall down and doesn’t lose its balance. Moreover, thank to its feelers the cat feels things and aerial vibrations as only Ralph Superhero could. Cut away its feelers from a cat is a devious and coward act.
